A very chilly pitch was the setting for Isca's comfortable victory this week. Right from winning the push back Isca had Paignton under pressure, and opened the scoring with a fabulous strike from Kate Le Cocq, later voted player of the match. Paignton absorbed the pressure well and eventually managed to spend some time out of their half and equalise. Isca responded by applying continued pressure and scored a controversial goal through a deflected cross from the ever-improving Claire Richardson, and a third came after a further period of attacking play. Isca's midfield, along with some of their inexperienced young players, were a formidable presence and played some lovely hockey. This was probably their best team performance to date. A disallowed 4th goal from a short corner routine was a disappointment for Isca, however probably fair compensation for their second goal, for the spirited opposition. Overall, a great match, although frustrating at times, for players and spectators alike and another well deserved win.
