Isca Dragons 1st team played Exe on Tuesday March 10th in a game rearranged from the snowy weather.
Isca started well and attacked for the first eight minutes then Exe went on the attack and although Isca broke this down an unfortunate pass across the D resulted in Exe pouncing on the ball and scoring.
The game was then quite even with attacks by both sides. Isca pressure was rewarded with a penalty corner which was converted by Jan Hamilton. The score at half time was 1–1.
The second half continued fairly evenly with Isca unable to convert the many chances they had. Exe had a break down the right and a player was disposed to then win the ball back and cross for another forward to sweep the ball in. Isca again fought to score but although they had some good attacking phases, five minutes from the end Jess Brooker lost her marker and collected the ball to drive down the right and power the ball just inside the right post to make the final score 3–1.
It was a very good game with some creative play and Isca again will count the missed scoring opportunities.
