Isca made the long journey to Swindon early on Saturday although a little less than bright eyed and bushy tailed, which showed in their play in the first half. Isca conceded two goals within the first ten minutes and were fighting an uphill battle for the rest of the game. Swindon played together as a team with strong passing around the back to open up the game, however Isca fought hard and kept the score line at 2-0 at half time.
In the second half Isca came out with more purpose and played better, countering Swindon well. They generated a few chances through pressing Swindon high and splitting the pitch, but they were few and far between. However, Isca defended well and Swindon never really looked like scoring again despite their good possession and movement of the ball. Despite the score line, Isca never gave up and continued to press Swindon hard until the last minute of the game and although it was a disappointing loss, the team can be heartened that they didn’t allow Swindon to score more than two goals.
