Isca Dragons came into their match against Swindon low in confidence after a difficult game the previous week, and the start reflected this as they let in two early goals. In the final 10 minutes of the first half however, Isca picked up the pace, setting an early press and putting pressure on the visitors. The play shifted to Isca’s attacking half and they ended the first period with increased confidence.
After half time, Isca came out with an even more positive attitude and some good attempts on goal. A fabulous corner strike by birthday girl Lauren Hutchings was rewarded with a goal. This was closely followed by another great team effort as Isca gained possession deep in their own half and built an attacking move which ended with Emmie Giles winning another penalty corner. A superb combination attack by Lauren Hutchings and Hetti Murray was again successful, levelling the scores. The game ended a highly satisfactory 2-2 draw.
