Isca Dragons' 1st team made the long journey to Gloucester for their first league game of the season. The Stephens and Scown-sponsored Dragons started well, moving the ball on quickly and out-playing their opposition. The first Isca goal came quickly, courtesy of an impressive Jan Hamilton strike. Unfortunately a defensive mix-up allowed Gloucester back into the game with an easy goal. They took the lead soon after through a penalty flick. Isca struck back though, with Jan Hamilton scoring again just before the end of the first half. After the break, the game was more closely contested, with neither side able to make a decisive break-through and the score ended 2-2.
