On Sunday 1 October Isca
Dragons entered two Under 13 teams in the first festival of the season
held indoors at Exeter University sports hall.
The competition was tough as opponents included both girls, mixed and boys teams!
All our players, despite not having a lot of indoor experience, showed some excellent
hockey throughout the morning.
The 'B' team captained by Lucy Parsons improved
from game to game. They lost their first four matches but then went on to draw
with Hornets Boys 2 - 2 and beat Hornets Girls 2 - 0. They were delighted to
score some goals and finish on a win.

The 'A' team captained by Laura Glover played very
well as a team and were extremely competitive particularly against the boys.
They unfortunately lost 1 - 2 to Ashmoor Aces and 1 - 3 to Ashmoor Kings (both
boys teams) but won all their other games scoring 14 goals in
the process. This secured them the honour of top girls
team and all received a medal.

Congratulations to all who took part and thanks to all the spectators on the
day. Louise Richardson should also have a special
mention for managing and umpiring on the day!
